RTS Field Media Recorder

The RTS Field Media Recorder is a compact and lightweight portable system designed for the acquisition of evidential video material from CCTV and other analogue and digital recorded video sources.

The system provides high quality real-time multi-format simultaneous capture and recording options to various computer file types.

  On-site CCTV video acquisition

The RTS Field Media Recorder connects to analogue and digital recording devices via Composite, Component, S-Video or Serial Digital Interface (SDI) cabling allowing the capture and real-time recording of video footage to multiple file formats including Uncompressed, Windows Media, Quicktime, MPEG, DivX and AVI formats.

  Real-time simultaneous recording to multiple formats

The internal professional hardware encoder and simple to use software application allows simultaneous real-time recording to multiple formats at varying resolutions and bit rates – providing operating flexibility and comprehensive file management options. The encoder features high quality video and audio processing technology including noise reduction and motion adaptive de-interlacing to provide outstanding output image quality.

  Media storage and write-blocking options

The recorder includes two removable 2.5” hard drive caddies as standard providing internal dedicated media storage capacity of up to 640GB. Optional write blocking hardware is available for secure data analysis and disc cloning applications.

  Rugged high quality portable system

The RTS Field Media Recorder is both compact and portable (weighing under 20 lbs) and is housed in a rugged ABS plastic chassis which features a 15” TFT LCD anti-reflection strengthened glass monitor and integrated keyboard.

Video forensic analysis and enhancement

RTS provide a state of the art video image capture, analysis, case management and presentation solution featuring Ocean Systems dTective® software and Avid editing hardware - fully integrated systems providing a complete video forensic solution for Police, Government and independent specialists.

dTective® provides investigators with revolutionary tools that allow the video analyst to extract the best evidence possible from surveillance images. One of the many strengths of dTective® is its ability to capture uncompressed multiplexed images and then clarify the footage to expose hidden detail recorded within field-based video.

The systems allows the user to decode digital CCTV files or multiplexed images from CCTV tapes, turn time-lapse video into real-time playback, stabilize unsteady surveillance video, highlight or obscure selected areas of video, track images of a suspect in a large crowd, pull readable licence plate numbers from dark areas of the video, export uncompressed still images for disclosure purposes or complete a host of additional analysis tasks.
